Description: At EIS, our DevOps team collaborates closely with highly talented software development professionals. The team is responsible for supporting and enhancing DevOps tools across the organization while promoting modern microservices engineering practices. DevOps work at EIS is diverse and engaging, ranging from implementing Jenkins pipelines using Groovy scripts, developing Terraform scripts, and optimizing Maven, Scala, and NPM build processes, to extending Helm charts and researching the best approaches for stable and refined DevOps practices within our product development lifecycle.
Our DevOps team manages over 20 Cloud accounts, primarily on AWS and Azure, for a wide range of customers. Our microservice platform currently operates around 100 pods in a non-scaled mode. Additionally, our typical CI/CD environment for engineering utilizes more than 250 virtual machines, requiring over 2700 vCPUs and 6.5 TB of RAM. These requirements are even more extensive in the managed public cloud environments we provide for our SaaS customers. While this level of responsibility is significant, it also brings tremendous opportunities for learning, growth, and excitement.
We are seeking smart, dynamic, and intuitive individuals to join our growing team of insurance technology professionals and industry experts. Currently, we have an opportunity for an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure the successful implementation of AWS Cloud services provisioning for development and production platforms.Collaborate with development teams during product implementation.Continuously evaluate and improve existing practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide support outside regular business hours.Respond promptly and effectively to critical incidents and service outages.Work with the team to implement preventative measures and minimize downtime.Provide support for urgent issues in the cloud infrastructure during on-call periods.Skills, Knowledge & Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services such as VPC, S3, IAM, EC2, Route53, EBS, EKS, MSK, RDS, and Security Groups.Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation and Terraform.Strong automation skills, including proficiency in Bash, Python, or Ansible.Solid knowledge and experience in Linux OS administration.A thorough understanding of internet routing protocols and switched environments.A proactive mindset and a problem-solving approach to overcome challenges.A willingness to learn and contribute to the evolution of our DevOps team.Good knowledge of network administration, load balancing and firewall configuration, and VPN/IPsec technologies.
