Senior Associate/Legal Director (8-11+ PQE) Contentious Construction Engineering, LondonJob IntroductionWe are looking to recruit a Senior Associate/Legal Director to work within our highly regarded Contentious Construction and Engineering Team to boost the firm's current direct/commercial construction practice.
The candidate will play an active role in the growth and success of the team in collaboration with our wider practice nationally and internationally.Role ResponsibilityBased out of our London office, the successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to form part of a prestigious and highly ambitious national and international construction team.
The firm's construction team acts for a full range of leading industry members on a wide range of contentious issues, including claims over time, money and defects.
It provides project-based advice to help clients manage difficult issues and avoid disputes.
If a dispute arises, the team has substantial experience in all methods of dispute resolution – both formal and informal.
The successful candidate will also gain exposure to this area of the team's work, working as part of a team based in Newcastle upon Tyne and Leeds that boasts over 25 construction and engineering specialists supporting clients on their national and international projects.
The regional team is rated Band/Tier 1 by both Legal 500 and Chambers Partners.The Ideal Candidate8-11+ years PQE with experience in Construction Engineering commercial litigation.Solid academic track record.Excellent relationship and client handling skills.Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day-to-day issues.Team-oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge and support other team members.Willingness to be involved in business development and strategy to drive forward profitable growth for the team.
