About the business unit: The Buildings and Cities Unit (BNC) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald's regional offices throughout Europe & UK, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across five key Sectors; Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water.
About the role: The Architecture team at Mott MacDonald is part of the Buildings and Cities unit, providing comprehensive services across all design and construction stages for a wide variety of projects. We are now seeking a Senior Associate Architect to lead our emerging team of Architects in Madrid and play a crucial role in our expanding architecture team.
As a Senior Associate Architect, you will be part of a growing architectural team, coordinating with other engineering disciplines and managing projects independently. You will have the opportunity to work on both national and Europe-wide projects, enhancing your skills in design, project management, technical detailing, BIM, and leadership.
About you:
Degree qualified or equivalent in Architecture, with significant post-qualification experience.
Proven experience in running projects, business development, and leading teams within an architectural practice or similar environment.
Creative, with excellent technical knowledge and a keen eye for detail.
Strong project management and people management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and contribute to the future growth of the business.
Experience with Revit and BIM.
Comprehensive understanding of current technical building legislation and guidance.
Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.
Architecture qualification in Spain, with experience in project delivery within the country.
Experience in Education, Aviation, Industrial, and Transportation projects is desirable but not essential.
