Microsoft Audience Network (MSAN) part of the Web Experiences Team (WebXt) is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to join us in Barcelona, Spain. As the Senior Applied Scientist, you will specialize in creating and enhancing machine learning technologies in areas such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision (CV), and large language models (LLM). You will be a key player within a dynamic team, contributing to and collaborating with other talented colleagues on cutting-edge machine learning challenges from a real ads recommender system.Computational Advertising has emerged as a new interdisciplinary field encompassing information retrieval, machine learning, data mining, statistics, operations research, and micro-economics, to address the complex problems inherent in online advertising. You'll also gain deep knowledge of a service, platform, or domain, and identify product needs by sharing the latest industry trends and applied technologies.You will participate in onboarding of junior team members and assist in developing academics to be members of multidiscipline teams. You'll identify new research talent to join Microsoft and collaborate with the academic community to develop the recruiting pipeline.You will document work in progress and experimentation results and share findings to promote innovation.
