As an early-stage project, you'll have the chance to craft a ground-breaking mobile experience with genuine ownership, building Ebury's mobile presence from its foundation. You'll work with industry-standard tools and technologies - and help us define what great looks like for our mobile apps. As a Mobile engineer, you'll work in a small, autonomous product squad alongside Backend Engineers, API Engineers, Product Designers, and Product Managers. You'll report to an engineering manager who will meet with you every week for a 1:1; their mission is to help you develop and grow.RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for supporting the overall company and Digital goals. Everything we do has a purpose and helps our business prosper. Rather than building a specific feature, you'll have the opportunity to impact both what we build and how we build it.Ownership of the existing Android app code base, with autonomy to improve what's already there.Management and coaching of a junior developer.Collaborate across disciplines to test hypotheses and make a difference to customers through the delivery and iteration of new app functionality and experiences.Stay up to speed on the latest mobile development practices, tools, and frameworks.Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.REQUIREMENTS: Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.Experience using Combine architecture.Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards.Understanding of Google's Android design principles.Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
