The Opportunity: We, at Flywire, are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics team and further scale our data driven company.
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will bridge the gap between Data Engineering and Reporting to enable our end users to make the most of our data. You will handle data from all areas of the company and succeed through the following responsibilities:
Own, manage, and further our full dbt environment and related toolingManage efficient materializations of streaming data to balance efficiency and latencyExplore and implement additional tools to support the wider Analytics teamProductionalize complex logic and queries into "gold standard" datasetsProvide dbt support throughout the companyOptimize dbt models for efficiency, clarity, and scalabilityRemove and reduce technical debt and automate manual operationsTreat data as a product and enforce testing and CI to catch errors earlyWork with and support company-wide data science/AI initiativesBecome a subject matter expert to support all business segmentsWork with engineering and product teams to understand and model our event dataDrive change by identifying areas for improvement while analyzing dataHere's What We're Looking For: Bachelor Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science5+ years of experience in an Analytics roleStrong proficiency in SQLStrong proficiency with dbtExperience with a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)Experience with git and CI/CD deploymentsExperience with Python and DockerExperience with Elementary or Great Expectations is preferredAbility to communicate and follow up with internal stakeholders in a timely manner and excellent attention to detail.Experience with BI Tools (Looker or Preset) is a plusTechnologies We Use: GCP/AWSFivetran/Apache Beam -> BigQuery -> dbt -> Looker/PresetAirflow (GCP Composer)Flink and Apache BeamWhat We Offer: Competitive compensation, including Restricted Stock UnitsEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Flying Start- Our immersive Global Induction Program (Meet our Execs & Global Teams)Work with brilliant people that will keep you on your toes, learn more about their journeys by checking out #InsideFlywire on social mediaDynamic & Global Team (we have been collaborating virtually for years!)Wellbeing Programs (Mental Health, Wellness, Yoga/Pilates/HIIT Classes) with Global FlyMatesBe a meaningful part in our success - every FlyMate makes an impactCompetitive time off including FlyBetter Days to volunteer in a cause you believe in and Digital Disconnect Days!Great Talent & Development Programs (Managers Taking Flight – for new or aspiring managers!)
