Senior Analyst - Structured Credit - Madrid Requisition ID: 47296 Business Unit: Fitch Ratings Category: Credit Analysis & Research Location: Madrid, M, ES Date Posted: Oct 30, 2024 Structured Finance is currently seeking a Credit Analyst Fitch's European Structured Finance (SF) team maintains and assigns ratings to SF transactions across four main asset classes: Asset Backed Securities, Residential Mortgage Backed Securities, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities and Structured Credit. The team currently maintains surveillance on over 1,500 European SF transactions. Furthermore, the Covered Bonds (CvB) team maintains about 100 public ratings mainly in Europe, but also in Americas and Asia-Pacific. The Madrid-based SF & CvB team comprises currently nine analysts and it is responsible for assigning and maintaining ratings on approximately 130 Iberian transactions. What We Offer: We are currently seeking either an Analyst or Senior Analyst Level Credit Analyst to join the European Structured Finance team. The successful candidate will be part of a team of analysts rating transactions mainly backed by mortgage loans and consumer loans. The team also rates Spanish CvB programmes. The team analyses transactions in line with Fitch's rating criteria and provides high quality credit opinions to investors and other market participants. We'll Count on You To: Implement default, recovery, and cash flow modelling. On-site review of underwriting and servicing of transaction originators. Preparing rating proposals for presentation to internal rating committees. Communicating rating rationale to investors and other market participants through presale reports, presentations, and meetings. Communicating with transaction arrangers and originators to understand asset characteristics and structural features of the transactions. Assist in the development of criteria and supporting research. What You Need to Have: This is a demanding and exciting role, so we are looking for highly motivated candidates. The successful candidate should have some prior experience in finance. Knowledge of securitisation structures would be beneficial. Candidates will be highly numerate and analytical, with advanced Excel skills. The role also involves analysis of legal transaction documents. While no legal background is required, successful candidates should be able to review and analyse legal contracts from a credit risk perspective.
