Overview
Are you ready to play a crucial role in managing and optimizing data for a global leader like PepsiCo? If you're excited about driving data governance excellence and ensuring data accuracy across diverse business domains, this is your opportunity! At PepsiCo, we're seeking a dedicated Domain Data Steward to join our Enterprise Data Governance team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring that our data governance processes, rules, and standards are not just met, but embraced across the business. You'll serve as the critical link between the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) framework and the local business needs, acting as the single point of contact within your data domain.

Your work will be essential in maintaining the integrity, quality, and reliability of our data, empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions with confidence.
Responsibilities
Your day-to-day with us:

Collaborate Across Teams: You'll work closely with local businesses, project stakeholders, and the Enterprise Data Governance (EDG) team to ensure data governance processes are aligned with PepsiCo's global standards. Your role as a liaison will be key in driving data consistency and accuracy across various segments.
Ensure Data Integrity: You'll be responsible for promoting adherence to PepsiCo's global data standards and policies within your domain. This includes providing recommendations on new or proposed data standards, business rules, and ensuring these are well-documented and communicated effectively.
Support Strategic Initiatives: Act as an advisor on data-related projects and initiatives, ensuring that data dependencies are identified, communicated, and managed. You'll ensure that all changes are in line with the EDG's established standards, safeguarding the integrity of our data assets.
Represent Market Needs: You'll actively participate in sector data councils, advocating for market-specific needs and ensuring that local user requirements are addressed. You'll provide alternative solutions and voice opinions on how proposals will work within the market you represent.
Drive Acceptance of Data Governance Practices: Your role will involve championing the single set of enterprise-level data standards and promoting their use throughout PepsiCo. You'll drive organizational acceptance of these standards, ensuring they are effectively implemented across all relevant areas.
Coordinate and Collaborate: You'll coordinate with fellow Market Data Stewards, the EDG Steward, and other relevant stakeholders to maintain consistency in PepsiCo's critical enterprise, digital, operational, and analytical data.
Promote PepsiCo's Data Governance Capability: As a champion of our Enterprise Data Governance program, you'll actively promote PepsiCo's data management initiatives across the organization, ensuring that the importance of data governance is recognized and embraced at all levels.
Qualifications
What you will need to succeed:
4+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management within a global Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company. A solid background in data management, including data ingestion, usage, quality, and stewardship is essential. 4+ years of experience working with data in the Material domain, including familiarity with associated processes, systems, and data usage. Preferred experience with SAP S/4 HANA in the Material domain to enhance your effectiveness in managing and optimizing our data systems.
Proven ability to partner with both business and technical subject matter experts to ensure standardization of operational information and the effective implementation of enterprise-wide data governance policies and procedures. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively persuade and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels. Ability to translate business requirements into data dependencies and needs, with a focus on developing optimized solutions and improvements. Skill in driving organizational change by encouraging teams to adopt new approaches and rethink existing processes. Experience in fostering relationships across different organizational levels and business segments, with the capability to interact effectively with management.
