Functions and Responsibilities :
- Supervise and support the preparation of the Annual Accounts of the Company and guarantee compliance with accounting and tax obligations at the local level.
- Generate, maintain and report financial statements under local regulations and IFRS 17.
- Supporting the Controlling team in the preparation of the budget
- Support the Capital team in the preparation of the information to be reported under Solvency II
- Monitor and stabilise the use of the new ERP (Microsoft Dynamics, MSD) accounting system.
- Generating annual, quarterly and monthly management reports
- Identify and implement improvements in the area's processes
- Interaction with the accounting department of the parent company in the UK and local operations when necessary
Requirements :
Must have requirements :
- Desirable Degree in Economics, Business, Economics or Business Administration and Management, Actuarial.
- 5-6 years of experience in the insurance industry (motor will be a plus), in similar roles. Big four experience will also be valuable.
- Knowledge of International insurance standards (IFRS17), Solvency II and local GAAP (for the preparation of annual accounts) and internal control will be an asset.
- Knowledge of accounting systems (MSD is a plus) and financial management.
- Solid knowledge of Office Package (advanced Excel)
