Senior Accountant

DescriptionFunctions and Responsibilities:Supervise and support the preparation of the Annual Accounts of the Company and guarantee compliance with accounting and tax obligations at the local level.Generate, maintain and report financial statements under local regulations and IFRS 17.Support the Controlling team in the preparation of the budget.Assist the Capital team in the preparation of the information to be reported under Solvency II.Monitor and stabilize the use of the new ERP (Microsoft Dynamics, MSD) accounting system.Generate annual, quarterly, and monthly management reports.Identify and implement improvements in the area's processes.Interact with the accounting department of the parent company in the UK and local operations when necessary.Requirements:Must have requirements:Desirable Degree in Economics, Business, Business Administration and Management, or Actuarial Science.5-6 years of experience in the insurance industry (motor will be a plus), in similar roles.
Big four experience will also be valuable.Knowledge of International insurance standards (IFRS17), Solvency II, local GAAP (for the preparation of annual accounts), and internal control will be an asset.Knowledge of accounting systems (MSD is a plus) and financial management.Solid knowledge of Office Package (advanced Excel).Advanced English level.Personal Skills:Meticulous.Calculator, predictor, and analytical.Capacity to work under pressure.Ability to adapt to change.Bargaining power.#J-18808-Ljbffr
