WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Spanish team.
SOME OF THE INTERESTING CHALLENGES AHEAD OF YOU Take ownership of the accurate and timely execution, preparation, and submission of all financial reporting in compliance with Group frameworks / local GAAP and other applicable regulations / requirements.
Prepare the statutory financial statements, consolidation and supporting schedules.
Maintain and secure the right level of quality of accounting and reporting as a base for business steering and compliance.
Responsible for various types of reconciliations, analytical review, analysis and maintaining effective internal controls.
Prepare, post, and reconcile journal entries like assets and liabilities, costs and revenues, accruals, inter-company charges.
Bank reconciliation and daily follow up.
Control that tax activities (mainly VAT and CIT taxes) are carried out according to the current laws and internal guidelines.
Tax declarations preparation and submission.
Process Accounts Payable/ Receivable in a timely manner.
Payment process and automation.
Follow up on expense (G&A), and compliance of the internal procedures/policies.
Ad hoc and monthly analysis of deviations.
Liaison with internal and external audit related work, yearly filings, and other compliance activities.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SHINE IN THIS ROLE Expert level of knowledge of accounting and financial reporting rules, along with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local GAAP.
Consolidation expertise is a must.
Comprehensive knowledge on how to plan, measure financial records in compliance with internal and external regulations and ensuring business objectives and long-term profitable growth.
Good knowledge of the customer needs, stakeholders, and peers, contributing to overall success and common results.
Attention to detail.
Analytical capabilities, to examine data, determine cause and effects and draw conclusions.
Strong collaborator and team spirit.
Strong ability to prioritize, provide clear directions and multitask.
Ability to communicate in a clear, straight forward manner, both in local language and English.
Proficiency in MS Office.
