We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Group's International Controllership team in Barcelona.The role requires strong relationship building with business finance, corporate functions, internal & external audit and within the shared service centre community and is critical in ensuring that all revenue, costs, commitments, assets, and liabilities are accurately recorded on a timely basis.This role will provide support for the control of the balance sheets and ensure that the financial statements reflect local and international standards as well as complying with the Sarbanes Oxley recommendations.About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Accounting degree is required or equivalent experienceGood knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP3+ experience in accounting, firm experience or MNC experience is preferredEnd to end accounting process understandingAdvanced Excel skillsFluent in English (both written and oral)It would be great if you also hadQuick learner and adapt to changeProven ability to meet deadlinesProven ability to form strong relationships with customers and shareholdersStrong customer focus work ethicClear and effective communicatorComfortable to multi-taskingSelf-motivatedWhat will you be doing in this role? The key activities for the role are as follows:Support the delivery of the monthly close activities for each company under remitSupport the production of key supporting schedules and balance sheet and P&LSupport BlackLine reconciliations and other monthly activitiesSupport monthly tax compliance and filingSupport monthly variance analysis and explanationsSupport the statutory audit processSupport internal and external auditors and regulatory agenciesSupport the integration of acquired companiesCoordinate with centralized process teamsSupport ad hoc projects and tasksAbout the Team You'll be supporting our Spanish and South American entities as assigned and reporting to the Financial Controller Spain & South America.
