Last but not least, we are recognized as a Great Place to Work, and are accredited HappyAtWork as well as B Corp. We're looking for a Senior Accountant to join our international prop-tech team at our headquarters in Barcelona to handle accounting at the entity and group level for our organization.
This position reports to our Group Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES Support the monthly group consolidation process, including intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency translations.
Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for annual audits and tax filings.
Assist in developing and maintaining strong internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations within Business Central.
Support the Group Controller with financial analysis and reporting, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare the group to undergo audits from 2025 onwards, creating processes and implementing best practices.
Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and marketing, to ensure accurate and timely accounting data.
Work with the accountants of the other companies in the group (there are 9 group companies in total) and the Group Controller to present consolidated accounts monthly; handle intracompany transactions, invoicing and eliminations.
Where the accounting is handled by an external cabinet, work with the external cabinet to produce the general ledger at the end of each month and import into Business Central for the consolidated accounts.
Work with all operational teams to ensure the accounting data is correct and up-to-date.
Take part in reconciliation of data among accounting system, reporting system and production systems.
Depending on the seasonality as well as your bandwidth, skills and interest, you may be involved with other tasks.

The company operates as a group headquartered in Switzerland with subsidiaries and operations in France, Spain and the UK.
We had operated with internal systems particular to the hospitality industry and outsourced the accounting work to external consultants, but the scale and size that we have grown to make this solution suboptimal.
As such, we are undertaking an in-housing of a greater number of responsibilities and have implemented Business Central as our accounting software.
ABOUT YOU To be considered, you must meet the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a multi-entity or group consolidation role.
Experience with Microsoft Business Central (formerly Dynamics) preferred but not mandatory.
Experience with audits strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
Advanced Excel skills.
Fluency in English, French strongly preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
