Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and accounting, with a proven track record in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights.
Experience working with U.S. clients and proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.
Responsibilities: Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, and revenue recognition.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Coordinate and manage external audits and tax preparations.
Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.
Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a Controller, ideally with a focus on working with U.S. clients.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
