What this role isThe Commercial Account Executive is the catalyst behind Genesys' success as an organization. As a consultative sales professional, you are responsible for driving revenue growth and bringing in net new business from prospects and existing customers in the market sector for Genesys which focuses on businesses with less than 500 agent positions.
In this key role, you help solve the business needs of prospects and customers by aligning those needs and objectives with Genesys solutions. You will collaborate within a team to manage all opportunities and customers and are responsible for coordinating resources and managing the sales campaign across the entire opportunity pipeline.
What this role isn'tIt is not a "one-man-band" role but you will be part of a dedicated POD team. Besides you as the Account Executive, this POD includes a Sales Development Rep, a Solutions Consultant, a Customer Service Director, and a Genesys Advisor who are all there to help you close deals and keep our customers loyal. Your main goal is to turn as many opportunities into closed-won deals as possible.
As an Account Executive, you fulfill a vital role of leveraging leads provided by Marketing and developing new opportunities on your own, handling all kinds of sales scenarios and ultimately closing opportunities provided to them.

Some details about what you'll doCollaborate with peers and management around ways to continually improve the sales organization.Identify customer needs and effectively understand and respond to customer objections.Connect client's business objectives with Genesys offerings and solutions.Negotiate and close as many sales campaigns as possible.Guide customer and prospect corporate strategic initiatives.Effectively sell a broad portfolio of products across a wide range of industries.Assist the customer in maximizing the return of their investment with Genesys.Be proactive in all aspects of opportunity development.Build and expand relationships with Economic Buyer in prospect and customer accounts.Establish yourself as a 'Trusted Advisor' to the prospect or customer.Bring net new and innovative ideas to both the internal team and the customer.Assist in creating an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.Demonstrate a commitment to excellence (i.E. strong business acumen).Partner with sales and additional pre-sales engagement members to align goals and ensure ongoing refinement. Minimum requirements+3 years previous business-to-business SaaS Sales experience with a documented track record of success as a Sales Account Executive in a net new business role.Experienced in being part of numerous complex and consultative sales engagements, being proactive in leveraging the market potential in finding new opportunities.Excellent objection handling and negotiating abilities.Highly persuasive with a likeability factor.Strong collaboration skills and ability to work alongside multiple team members.Strong time-management and organization skills.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple streams of work simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders.Highly resourceful when need to overcome barriers and objections.Proven record of meeting/exceeding established goals.Ability to communicate with all levels within customer/prospect's organization.Ability to communicate and present to Genesys management as required.Fluent English and Spanish.Available to travel for 50% of the time.Enterprise software or contact center industry experience is a plus.About GenesysGenesys is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
