Job Summary: Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive Security, Safety, Health, and Environmental programs to ensure the well-being of employees for all sites, the protection of company assets, and compliance with relevant regulations.
This role requires a proactive and strategic approach to identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards within the shipyard environment.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Security Management Develop and implement security policies and procedures to safeguard all plant site premises, personnel, and assets.
Conduct hazard and risk assessments and recommend security measures to mitigate potential threats.
Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and contracted security.
Manage access control systems, surveillance, and other security technologies for all plant sites.
Safety and Health Management Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety programs in compliance with OSHS.
Conduct daily safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Provide required and relevant safety training to employees and ensure the availability of necessary safety equipment.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Environment Management Develop and oversee environmental programs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
Implement strategies to minimize the environmental impact of plant site operations.
Conduct environmental audits and assessments, and develop initiatives to improve compliance.
Emergency Response Planning Develop and maintain emergency response plans for various scenarios, including fire and other potential incidents.
Conduct drills and exercises to test and improve emergency response preparedness.
Coordinate with local emergency services to enhance response capabilities.
Regulatory Compliance Knowledgeable of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security, safety, health, and the environment.
Ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable regulations and standards for all plant sites.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of security, safety, health, and environmental activities.
Prepare and submit all required reports to regulatory authorities.
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Security Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management).
Track record of experience in security, safety, health, and environmental management, preferably in a shipyard or maritime environment.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Certification in relevant fields (e.g., Certified Safety Professional – CSP, Certified Environmental Manager, Security certifications).
