This opportunity requires the ability to speak Spanish as the projects will be working with a Spanish customer.
The Role As a Security Champion, you will play a pivotal role in integrating application security best practices throughout a large-scale organization.
Leveraging your hands-on expertise in application security assessments, such as penetration testing, and your experience in collaborative software development, you will serve as a vital link between security and development teams.
Your responsibilities will include performing a comprehensive gap analysis to design a Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) framework tailored to the organization and its diverse development teams.
You will advocate for and facilitate the adoption of SSDLC practices, mentor team members, and promote a security-focused culture by emphasizing the importance of building secure systems from the ground up.
Key qualifications and experience you bring to the role include: Extensive experience in application security, including penetration testing or ethical hacking, with at least 5 years at a senior level.
In-depth understanding of the security landscape and up-to-date knowledge of security standards.
Hands-on software development experience (C/C++, C#, or Java required; scripting languages such as Python, PHP, or Ruby are a plus) with a minimum of 4 years working in team-based development.
Familiarity with software development tools like JIRA and methodologies for managing development processes.
Proven ability to create clear and actionable guidance and policy documents.
Strong communication skills to effectively translate complex security issues into practical advice for developers and technical stakeholders.
Patience and excellent interpersonal skills for working collaboratively across teams.
