The PositionAs a Section Lead you will focus on capabilities development of your section members that align with the chapter vision. You will encourage your team to self-define their career journey and seek ways to enable development opportunities in the direction of the journey. You will have an understanding of the roles within your section to provide mentorship when needed.
What you'll be working on You will be part of the Security, Testing & Validation chapter that provides the capabilities required to develop and promote the Security principles of Confidentiality, Accessibility and Integrity (CIA); preventing unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, inspection, recording or destruction of information. The Chapter will actively research and develop Security policy, tools and ways of working to ensure simplicity and ease of access to the technology solutions and data the business needs whilst aligning with the necessary rules and maintaining the continuity of the business. The chapter includes as well the capabilities needed to test and validate solutions and software produced aligned with the assurance and associate controls to maintain the requisite level of quality throughout Informatics.
The Monitoring & Incident Response team strives to keep our networks and users safe from constantly evolving threats. It focuses on Threat Detection, Threat Response and Investigation, Data Loss Prevention and Vulnerability Management.
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND PARTNERING Understand the current and future needs of Product Managers in order to develop the strategic direction of the chapter along with Chapter leadership by exploring and implementing new strategic capabilities to stay "evergreen"Ensure that resources are available for the demand intake process in order to meet stakeholder needs and prioritiesLEADERSHIP AND INFLUENCE People Management and CoachingEvaluate, promote, coach, and develop chapter membersSeek, evaluate and act on feedback on chapter membersResource and Portfolio ManagementCo-create and maintain chapter strategy and workforce planning to define and build up the right capabilities and equip people with the skills, tools, and standard approaches to deliver functional excellenceMay serve as a squad member to perform hands-on work as any other chapter memberAllocate talent to different roles in squads and ensure that they are deployed to value-creation opportunitiesMonitor, analyze and improve the demand intake process to optimize effective people mobilization of both internal and external workforceCapability and Practice DevelopmentFoster an environment where standards and best practices are developed and sharedResponsible for implementation and adherence to guidelines, frameworks and practicesContinuously improve the chapter capabilities to enable value creationMonitoring & Incident ResponseKnowledgeable and experience in detection and protection capabilitiesAble to communicate information security concepts and situations to stakeholdersProvide mentorship for less experienced team membersKnowledgeable of advanced protections, monitoring, and use cases for information securityActively contribute to the mission of the team and provide support during major incidentsWhat you'll need to be successful 5+ years of leadership experience and related chapter knowledgeExperience in leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) team is a great plusProven experience in leading dynamic teams within a 24/7 operational environment, ensuring effective team performance during major incidentsBachelor or advanced degreeExhibits servant and creative leadership (VACC) behaviorExhibits a Lean-Agile MindsetDemonstrated experience building high performing teamsHave a keen IT market focus: you are passionate about major trends for the specific subject areaDemonstrates an executive presence, strong business acumen, ability to navigate ambiguity, and handles complexityHandles risks progressively and in a way that leads to opportunityEnterprise mindset that can break down silos.
