Secondary School English Teacher

La Font is looking for afully qualifiednative English Waldorf teacher for its secondary English department for the school year of 2024-25. Candidates ideally should be fluent in Catalan and/or Spanish, have convalidated qualifications, and/or be willing to learn Catalan and Spanish. Candidates should have at least 3 years experience teaching English as a foreign language to youngsters from 11 to 14, be able to provide 3 referrees as to the quality of their teaching, and provide evidence of their profile, curriculum vitae, character, and personality and willing to undergo the obligatory police check for teachers. Candidates should ideally be used to the system whereby only English is used in the classroom and translation or explaining in another language is avoided as much as possible to ensure immersion.
Candidates should also have a good cultural grounding in British and American literature, be well prepared to make classes fun at various levels of listening comprehension, enjoy acting and singing, and willing to take on some other tasks in the school so as to make it a full time job.
