SDC Program Manager, Supply Chain Network Planning DESCRIPTION Amazon is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst, with strong analytical capabilities and a delivery record on Supply Chain planning projects.
Our team, Long Term Network Planning, drives strategic plans based on forecasts and optimizes the flow of billions of units each year for EU customers.
We own and drive strategic long-term low-cost storage expansion including site location, design, financial viability, and impact on network dynamics.
The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for improving network efficiency by successfully providing visibility and analysis of the performance of the program.
This high-visibility role will require working with business teams across the company and around the world to prioritize projects that support both new products/programs and existing operations and supply chain systems.
Key job responsibilities Ownership of the data creation and reporting of the key strategic metrics of the program.
Deep dive on bridge gap to understand the drivers of the business performance and provide an understandable communication to the stakeholder.
Define, scope, and implement strategic projects to maximize the financial benefits of the program.
Align with the WW Tech team on the deployment of the technical solutions that would support the expansion of the low-cost storage program in EU.
Present strategic documents to update senior leadership on the progress of the program.
A successful candidate will also demonstrate: High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically and to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or similar quantitative field.
Proven experience working in a highly complex analytical environment preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transportation Planning.
Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as the ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and build business cases.
Advanced Excel knowledge is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or similar quantitative field.
Proficiency in any scripting language, preferably Python or R. Proficiency in SQL.
