Responsibilities: Work in a team environment to deliver Aimsun R&D to project funding bodies in a timely and resource-efficient manner, including but not limited to:
Performing R&D activities through simulation using Aimsun software, and undertaking study design, analysis and some software coding, model building where appropriate.Develop and review project-based reports, specifications and publications (both conference and journal).Represent Aimsun and present project work at face-to-face project meetings, conferences and industry forums.Contribute to, and where needed lead, Aimsun involvement in bids for EU R&D Projects.Contribute to the knowledge base of the group and take an active interest in the development of the software and underlying theories.Requirements: 2 years of experience in a similar position.Excellent fluency in written and spoken English.Service orientation, flexibility, a positive attitude, and team spirit.Ability to thrive under pressure and tight deadlines.Experience in research and development of new concepts and models, and experience in the traffic and transport domain.Prior experience with project administration, management, or proposal writing (research funded projects are an advantage).Expertise in developing and prototyping new concepts and models for simulation software and platforms.Strong communication (both written and oral) skills for preparation and presentation of technical reports, and internal relations with project stakeholders.MSc in Computer Science, Mathematical or Operations Research, or a relevant branch of Engineering.European citizen or Spanish work permit.Strong coding skills in C++.Knowledge of European and national research funding programs.Strong interpersonal skills.Fluency in Spanish and additional languages, if spoken and written natively or fluently.Willingness to travel.Contract: Indefinite employment contract, full-time.
