REMOTE Job Summary: As an SBA Credit Analyst/Underwriter, you will be responsible for analyzing and underwriting Small Business Administration (SBA) 7a, 504, USDA loans for our client.
You will work closely with our team of loan officers, processors, and other underwriters to ensure that all loan applications are thoroughly evaluated and approved in accordance with SBA guidelines and company policies with attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities: Review and analyze loan applications and financial documents to determine creditworthiness and risk assessment.Conduct thorough financial analysis and cash flow projections to assess the borrower's ability to repay the loan.Evaluate collateral and loan structure to ensure compliance with SBA guidelines and company policies.Prepare credit memos and loan packages for submission to SBA and other lending institutions.Communicate with loan officers and processors to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies.Monitor and track loan performance and work with borrowers to address any issues or concerns.Stay updated on SBA regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance and provide guidance to loan officers and processors.Participate in credit committee meetings and provide recommendations on loan approvals and denials.Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and procedures for loan underwriting and portfolio management.Maintain accurate and organized loan files and documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in SBA loan underwriting and credit analysis, with 7a, 504, or USDA SBA.Strong knowledge of SBA regulations and guidelines.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and loan processing software.SBA underwriting SOP certification is a plus.
