Our goal is to accelerate SAP´s market share in MM, and the purpose of the Sales Team is to sign deals and build long-lasting relationships with customers.
The team is tight-knit and very helpful, but the pace is high and the work is dynamic, meaning you must be able to work very independently.
You'll also work closely with the Business Development Team.
Their interns work with similar tasks as you will, so they will be sources of support and guidance alongside the Sales Team.
What you'll do: Position title: SAP iXp Intern – Mid-Market Sales Team
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Expected start date: September/October 2024
Expected duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension up to 1 year
Working time: Preferably full-time
In this role, you'll: As an intern in the Mid-Market Sales Team at SAP, you earn valuable business experience, gain knowledge about SAP and experience the full sales cycle, from lead to close.
Your daily tasks primarily revolve around supporting the team with demand generation activities.
This includes:
Leveraging different sources to find new accounts that could be potential new customers for SAP.Profiling accounts to find the right people with decision-making power to contact.Market research, which includes analyzing the market and specific industries to find trends and compelling events that will help the team approach new potential customers.Furthermore, you will help the team with social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
This includes finding valuable content and sharing it online, sometimes on behalf of your team members.
Additionally, you will help out the team with other miscellaneous tasks, wherever need may be.
The most meaningful and educational aspect of this internship is gaining knowledge about the full sales cycle.
This includes:
Participating in discovery calls with new potential customers.Joining weekly pipeline review meetings, where the most important deals are discussed.Getting a front-row seat to the extensive process of getting a customer to sign a deal.Who you are: We're looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious.
You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
You will ideally be in the last stages of your education and ready for your first career step, so you could be a bachelor's or master's student.Under Spanish law, your university must be able to sign a tri-party agreement with a university; without it we cannot consider.Your preferred field of study should have a commercial focus such as Business Administration, Business IT, Management, Sales, Marketing, Data/Process Management, IT/Digital Transformation, etc.You are ready to commit to a full-time 6-month placement (39.5 hours per week).You have fluent English language skills.You possess knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.You pay attention to details as well as the ability to deliver highly qualitative work and results.You are strongly driven, proactive, and collaborative with an adaptable problem-solver mindset.You are an active listener, so you understand assignments and deliver expected results.Bring out your best SAP innovations help more than four hundred thousand customers worldwide work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively.
