Description of the position: The SAP DataSphere Expert is responsible of leading the design, development, and implementation of data products solutions in SAP DataSphere, under a hybrid data architecture of SAP DataSphere and Snowflake under AWS.
This role entails ensuring seamless integration, data quality, and effective utilization of data for business insights and decision-making.
The SAP DataSphere Expert will work collaboratively across various departments to align data strategies with business goals facilitating the effective use of data across the organization.
The SAP DataSphere Expert needs to have experience working with SAP systems as the main source systems (i.e.
ECC; S/4Hana, SuccessFactors).
Therefore, knowledge of SAP DataSphere and its related skills, such as BW for HANA, is essential.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and familiarity with key processes in manufacturing and distribution within the pharma business will be a plus.
The candidate will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and drive data related projects around the SAP technology working with SAP teams in the different modules (FI-CO, SD, MM, PP/DS, PM..) and global requirements.
It will support the development and implementation of an enterprise-wide data platform and design and implement data assets to facilitate data-driven decision making.
Organizational position: Reporting to the Data Platform Lead (located in Madrid).
Key Responsibilities and tasks: Lead the design, development, and implementation of data products solutions in DataSphere under a hybrid data architecture with SAP DataSphere and Snowflake under AWS.
Ensure data quality and integrity across all data SAP sources (ECC, S/4 HANA, IBP, SuccessFactors…) under SAP DataSphere.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Supply, IT, Commercial and Customer Service, to define project requirements and deliver data-related projects.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
Manage data acquisition processes and model data within SAP DataSphere.
Ensure robust data governance, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Develop and implement data quality rules.
Support the creation and management of business glossaries, master data policies, and data lifecycle policies.
Provide strategic advice on data-related projects and initiatives and promote a data-driven culture through training and evangelization efforts within the organization.
Utilize tools such as PowerBI for developing data visualization dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data management and cloud technologies.
Working Experience: Proven experience with SAP DataSphere and/or SAP DataWarehouse Cloud, or at least with BW/4 HANA and BW and knowledge about DataSphere/DWC.
Experience in a hybrid architecture of DataSphere & Snowflake will be a plus.
There are Snowflake specialists within the company so snowflake is not a requisite, just a plus.
Experience with SAP systems, including SAP HANA, ECC...
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
Professional skills: Mandatory skills : Strong knowledge of data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with SAP systems, including SAP HANA, ECC and BW/4 HANA.
Knowledge in CDS views will be a plus.
Familiarity with data security and compliance standards.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative and be innovative.
Additional skills non mandatory, but valuable for the position : Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and familiarity with manufacturing and distribution processes within the pharma business is a plus.
Databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, and Snowflake.
SAP SAC and Planning processes.
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
Personal skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative and be innovative.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish.
Education and Training : BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
SAP certifications will be appreciated.
Languages : Spanish: Native language, otherwise business fluent.
English: Very good Business English required (B2).
