This position reports to Sales Support Manager-Configuration and Quotation.
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids, estimations, and quotations based on customer specifications, requirements, or budget to achieve market competitiveness and high margins for the company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers in your area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting and collating the information required to prepare proposals, including both technical and cost elements. The work model for the role is hybrid. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power and Smart Building Areas in Spain. Main stakeholders are Sales, especially PBL and DIST channel and Customers.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Quotation Role: Formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations by considering the best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial aspects for each situation.
Creating well-documented tenders in a timely manner and with an appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs.
Managing the preparation of technical, financial, and, if required, project management aspects of the bid, estimate, and quotation, indicating prices and trading conditions.
Ensuring that inputs for editing activities related to bid, estimate, and quotation preparation are provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the established quality procedures.
Configuration Role: Maintain Configurator tool (PDC) to ensure all the quotations are properly done.
Help your colleagues in the maintenance of the tool.
Adapt the tool according to new versions.
Work with an international environment for new developments of the tool and new tools.
Coordinate with other parts of the Electrification Team to improve, prepare new versions, do trainings and what market can ask in regards of the Configuration tool.
You will join a very experienced, dynamic team working closely with Sales and Customers, where you will be able to thrive.
Qualifications For The Role
You are immersed in Sales and Customers doing Quotations and managing related tools, especially PDC and the Panel Builder and Distribution market.
You have at least 2 years of experience in preparing quotations for this market and managing different configuration tools, working as Sales or Project Manager with Low Voltage Products and Digitalization.
Highly adept in Office Package/SFDC/PDC/Configurator Tools.
Degree of Engineering in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics or similar.
You are at ease communicating in Spanish and English.
You hold a current car license valid in Spain and work permit in Spain.
