ADI is seeking an experienced Sales Manager for our business in Spain and Portugal.Based in Madrid, this is a key leadership role that will report to the EMEA Sales Director; with the core purpose of identifying and driving profitable growth across the region.
**Job Duties**:
- Directly responsible for the internal and external sales teams in Spain and Portugal and for delivering the companies sales, profitability and strategic growth targets.
- Developing and executing effective sales and service strategies with clear account ownership plans which consistently deliver results to target creating clear priorities for the team.
- Driving efficiencies across the team and ensuring a proactive, customer focused mindset. Tracking sales performance and metrics to optimize the outputs of the organization.
- Bringing together the trading activities of the region and ensuring customer focus is clear across all functions including operations, procurement, marketing and technical support.
- Building key external relationships with customers and key vendor partners that drive long-term growth
- Responsible for hiring, managing, coaching and development of key sales talent in the region. Articulate clear goals and expectations and create a environment in which employees are motivated to do their best. Promotes a performance climate / culture that makes people feel valued and respected, and leverages even difficult or tense circumstances to enhance relationships.
**YOU MUST HAVE**:
- Sound commercial judgment and sound decision making across a wide span of control, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Be fluent in Spanish and English, additional languages an advantage
- Clear understanding of priorities and a sense of optimism, ownership, and strong commitment to achieving goals and organizational success. Experienced and comfortable in working in a highly matrixed organization.
