The German Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) team in Madrid is part of the International Card Services organization. Our team is focused on acquiring, expanding, and retaining SME customers for American Express, targeting businesses in the German market, partnering with business owners in managing their finances, improve cash flow and stay in control of everyday expenses. Together, we'll win as a team, striving to uphold our powerful backing promise to our customers and each other every day.
Howwillyoumakeanimpactinthisrole?
Drive new sales, targeting German Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) companies with up to € 150 million annual turnover.
Responsibility for the complete end-to-end process: sell and implement American Express payment solutions, primarily Business Cards.
Build and effectively manage your own sales pipeline, by identifying, analyzing and prioritizing opportunities that achieve and exceed profitable growth targets.
Prospecting for new customers through various lead channels and maximizing lead conversion, participate in tactical sales campaigns throughout the year.
Identifying key decision makers and presenting the benefits and services of our American Express payment solutions, delivering premium value aligned with client's goals and a positive customer experience.
Strong communication and negotiation skills, combined with consultative selling and objection handling.
Manage your sales activities through the CRM tool (Salesforce) facilitating a timely and accurate reporting of all customer interactions.
Minimum Qualifications
What we are looking for and what you should be passionate about:
Bilingual level of German, plus fluency in English written and spoken (our company language).
Ideally with a background having lived in Germany or worked for the German Market.
Passion for negotiating and interacting with customers (previous Sales experience is a plus).
Highly motivated and willingness to assume accountability for generating new business. Ability to direct the sales process from planning to closing.
Growth mindset to think creatively to identify new business opportunities.
High learning agility and growth mindset to keep growing and developing with your peers in a fast-paced and continuously evolving environment.
Self-driven and results oriented with a positive mindset and a clear focus on achieving and exceeding personal and team targets and goal (being part of the solution and execution).
Strong time management and organizational skills, creating and applying a structured approach to your day-to-day work responsibilities while adapting to quickly to change.
Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating with team members in different markets to maximize individual and company performance.
Strong interpersonal and listening skills. Highly engaging communication style with ability to speak confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
