We are looking for aSales Manager to join our pre-opening team at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, set to open in Spring 2025.Surrounded by natural beauty, the Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca spreads over 3 hectares of landscaped cliff tops and gardens cascading down to the sea, where it offers unique access to two coves surrounded by crystalline waters.
The property is ideally located within Calvià, one of the most exclusive municipalities of the island, and close to key attractions such as the Portals port, the historical landmarks of the capital Palma de Mallorca, and the international airport.Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca will feature 131 guestrooms, including 44 suites and nine bungalows located just a few steps from the waterfront.
The spacious accommodation will provide full or partial sea views, outdoor terraces or balconies, some of which offer private panoramic plunge pools.
A comprehensive Spa at Mandarin Oriental will offer the Group's signature wellness therapies and beauty treatments, with a focus on local nature-inspired programmes.
The spa includes an indoor swimming pool, while three outdoor pools are located across the resort.
Guests will also have access to a wide range of water-sports as well as a comprehensive Children's Club.As theSales Manager, you will be responsible to achieve the Sales Budget of the assigned territory.
Is responsible to execute and follow the transient segment strategy.
Furthermore, negotiation and maximization of all business opportunities from this territory to meet objectives and contribute to overall hotel sales performance and strategy.The Sales Manager will be responsible for the following:Leads, coordinates, and builds the managed business sales efforts related to European and UK assigned territoryEffective management of a portfolio of key accounts through planned sales activities.Proactively manage, qualify, solicit, and book transient bookings from Europe and UK.Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders/guests, partners and actively engage in sales activities.Monitor actual sales and revenues to determine variance, assess goal accomplishments and adjust strategies accordingly.Able to work independently and make decisions based on established policies and procedures while sticking to budget.Must have entrepreneurial mindset and be able to take initiative to capture business and maximize profits for the hotel.Ensure accuracy for forecasting of revenues, monthly reports, sales budget.What are we looking for?At least 2/3 years of experience as Sales Manager managing Europe/UK transient sales – (Previous Five Star/Luxury Hotel Sales Experience is essential).Must have an established network of connections.Proficient with Salesforce and previous working knowledge.Maintain a professional appearance and conduct personal behaviour in a mature professional manner when representing the Hotel or company.Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations; maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in dynamic and fast-changing environment.Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Spanish (both verbal and written).Proven negotiation skills required; must be able to persuade and influence key decision makers in the marketplace.Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will accommodate the achievement of all business goals and directives.
