Role Title: Sales Executive - Strategic Banks

The Role: S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a Senior Sales Executive for our Italy and Iberia region.
In this role, you are responsible for promoting and consultatively selling a portfolio of products to current and target customers.
You will identify key decision makers and influencers with target prospects and execute sales strategy, collaborating with sales members, client services, product management, operations, technology, and legal to optimize product and service delivery.
You will be selling S&P Global Market Intelligence products and solutions including: Capital IQ Pro and related products, Credit Risk Solutions, ESG products, and Supply Chain data.
The Impact: This is a role offering the chance to be part of the European Strategic Account team responsible for selling into the Strategic Banks in the Iberian and Italian regions.

Responsibilities:
Understanding the customer business strategies and needs, and delivering against sales targets. Selling to larger and more complex clients and prospects. Liaising with team members, senior sales management, and business units regarding client activity, results, competitive information, and market trends. Suggesting changes to revenue development strategy. Establishing relationships at senior levels of client organization to promote S&P GMI thought leadership and understand client objectives to influence future product development and revenue growth. Prospecting & uncovering new opportunities where S&P GMI is not present. Takes lead coaching role with a sales team in a region to promote best practices in successful selling and client management. Participates in the annual budget process planning session to provide client and market input to the process. Contributes to the delivery of integrated solutions that address customer needs. Has broad-based knowledge of the industry and specialized knowledge of products. Solves complex problems in the sales process. Regularly interacts with clients and prospective clients. Works with other functional teams across the organization, i.e., product management, marketing. Creates and reviews sales presentations, proposals, and internal business case development. What We're Looking For:
Fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish. 4-5 years of sales experience within the industry and a proven track record in consultative sales. Experience in selling within complex key accounts and establishing relationships at the senior level of the organization across divisions. Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills. Strong personal integrity and a confident and positive manner. A strong understanding of financial concepts and principles as relates to clients' needs. Work with a high level of energy and focus. Self-starter and shows strong initiative. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, excellent problem-solving, analytic capabilities, and business acumen. Results-oriented and customer-focused. Collaborating effectively across teams as well as independently; creating an atmosphere of trust and open communication. Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in an ever-changing environment. Bachelor's degree; MBA is a plus. Our commercial team at S&P Global Market Intelligence will have a track record of success selling into Corporates and/or Financial Institutions and are from a broad range of backgrounds.
