Job Summary Part of a small local team, the Technical Training Sales Support Engineer will support two areas of the Motul business in Korea: 70%: Specialist and SME in technical and product knowledge, supporting local training requirements and queries – escalating to regional HQ where required 30%: Support local Business development team in expanding distributor network in Korea, including joining market visits and distributor meetings This role will have a direct reporting line to the Sales Country Manager, based in Korea and a dotted line to the Regional Technical Training Manager, based in Malaysia Area of Responsibility Local Training Support (70%) Conduct on-site training to both dealers, workshop mechanics, retailers and customers Handles training topics in: Products Industrial specification Automotive hardware Lubrication Specific distributor training topics from Headquarters Collate training requests in respective territory to prepare the training plan along with the sales plan provided by Business Development Manager or Sales Manager Provide recommendation and revise the training materials accordingly to the HQ direction Assist to coordinate and analysis training outcome by providing reports and statistics Provide recommendations and resolve technical questions assist Technical Training Manager to collate and share questions with Asia Pacific technical team Provide recommendation and resolve Competitor Products comparison Work closely with Regional Product team to meet Korean regulatory registration requirements (KOSHA, K-REACH) Local Business Development Support (30%) Supports Business Development team by establishing developing relationships with existing distributors/prospects and recommending solutions. Assist Business Development team in distributor sales planning and effective network expansion. Support local marketing activities, identify strengths, and weaknesses and propose improvement activities. Maintains relationships with both distributor and clients by providing support, information, and guidance researching, training, technical support and recommending new opportunities Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors. Be involved in local road-shows and events Key Relationships Internal Korean Business Development team (Country Manager Sales Development Executive) Regional Technical Manager Technical team in other Asia Pacific countries Regional Product team (Based in Singapore) Regional Marketing team External Distributors Distributor Sales Representatives Local Regulatory Authorities Job Requirements Possess at least Diploma in Engineering or related discipline 5 years working experience in Automotive/Lubricants sales and/or Services, of which at least 2 years' experience in the automotive industry as customer service advisor or diagnostic technician Ability to converse fluently in native language (Korean), written and spoken business level English Good time management, independent, hands-on, resourceful and self-driven to ensure delivery of the training plans Strong interest in automotive and training experience Good communicator and with excellent presentation skills Strong commercial sense and entrepreneurial
