We are looking for a talented Sales Engineer to join Sympower's expanding team in Spain. This is a full-time position, intended to be based in Madrid, but with some flexibility in the exact location. What you'll do
- Present Sympower's solution for interested clients (towards high level management and our customer's key stakeholders (e.g. electrical manager, process engineer etc.)
- Work with our customers to identify suitable processes to be controlled and specify hardware implementations
- Specify our hardware installations at our customers and instruct installers how to use our hardware
- Execute tests and analyze results to ensure technical performance as part of the internal requirements and pre-qualification requirements from external parties (TSOs, DSOs, etc.)
- Create models to support business cases.
- Manage and maintain the existing installations at our customers
- Lead and provide technical support during customer acquisition, both pre-sales and sales work
- Collaborate with our team of software developers in technical development and improvement projects
Requirements
- Interest in demand response, energy systems and the energy transition
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experiences
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical installations and/or automation systems
- Team player with collaboration skills
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Good analytical skills, able to provide market analysis data to the business
- Willingness to learn new things and develop yourself
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced scale-up environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
- Availability to travel (within and outside of Spain)
Beneficial skills
- Experience in REE's markets
- Experience in industrial processes e.g. paper & wood, metal, waste & water, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy, EVs, logistics, heavy industry.
- Knowledge of the electricity sector
- Experience from other start-ups/scale-up companies
