We develop and produce intraocular lenses and sell them to ophthalmologists at the highest possible level. LIO Ophtec España, S.L, based in Madrid, markets our lenses and instruments through our team of Account managers located throughout Spain. "You are not a number at Ophtec, you really matter" The position Together with the Finance Director you are responsible for the results of the Spanish Subsidiary. You therefore work closely together, each from your own area of responsibility, but with the same goal, to achieve business objectives and revenue targets. You develop and execute the sales strategy and work intensively with your team of Account Managers and Independent Sales Reps. You manage, motivate and develop them, with the aim of increasing market share throughout Spain. You monitor market trends, competitive activities and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and new distribution opportunities. You build and maintain strong relationships with important opinion leaders and strategic partners in the ophthalmic field. Regular travel within your region (and occasionally abroad) is necessary to provide guidance, support and maintain strong relationships with local account managers and customers. You are responsible for the positioning and introduction of (new) products in the Spanish market and work closely with various teams at the head office, such as the Commercial Team and R&D. Together with the head office Marketing team and a local marketing agency, you organize (participation in) conferences and events and other marketing communications. You regularly provide sales reports and analyzes that highlight progress, challenges and opportunities within your region. You are accountable to the Board of Directors, based in The Netherlands. Your profile The role requires a deep understanding of the IOL/Ophthalmology market, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate also has: Proven success in driving revenue growth, increasing market share and developing successful sales strategies. Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams. Strong negotiation skills, is highly motivated, sees opportunities and knows how to utilize them, communicates effortlessly at all levels, and is a relationship builder. A good knowledge of the English language (speaking and writing). Experience with P&L responsibility
