Our customers are solving some of the world's most difficult and important problems in healthcare and manufacturing and they rely on us to work closely with them to develop innovative motion control solutions.We are growing and are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Sales Applications Engineer to join our high performing team and become an expert adviser to our customers and provide outstanding support to our sales, marketing and product development teams.Job SummaryAs Sales Applications Engineer, you'll work with the sales team in persuasion activities. You'll collaborate to create customer-driven products and solutions for our most important customers in Robotics & Automation.You'll assist customers in understanding technical product capabilities and finding the best fit for their needs. You'll communicate and demonstrate our value proposition in collaboration with sales teams to win business.Primary ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with commercial team members to identify key customers, assess needs, and recommend solutions.Working closely with new product developers to fully understand all key features and provide suggestions for their improvement and usability in customer applications.Collaborating cross-functionally to develop and execute sales strategies and launch products and applications to key customers within Robotics & Automation.Providing pre-sale product/technical support to ensure proper product specification and selection as needed.Ensuring applications meet the needs of customers, anticipating, and resolving technical roadblocks throughout the sales process.Assisting in prototyping, costing, testing, and validating new applications in Robotics & Automation using our products.Visiting key customers (along with territory managers) to provide application/system level technical assistance/guidance.Attending conferences, writing articles, and generally working on technical materials aimed at the promotion of our technologies (not product promotions) within Robotics & Automation.Required Experience, Education And SkillsPossess a B.S. in one or more engineering disciplines and prior experience in technical sales or engineering (B.S. in Electronics/Telecommunication/Industrial Engineering or any related engineering studies).Experience in design engineering, applications engineering, high technology sales support, or field service.Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers and mentor others to do the same.Results-driven and customer-focused, self-motivated and able to work well in a team.Able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.High level of English language proficiency.Travel RequirementsMust possess a valid passport and be able to travel within EMEA, if required.
