Position summary: The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing new business from scratch and/or maintaining existing relationships with key accounts in order to grow these accounts and continue to offer new or additional services and solutions, cross-sell into other departments within the client company and maximise account profitability. The successful candidate will join a team focusing principally on accounts within the Life Sciences industry (pharmaceutical, clinical, etc.) and will serve as the first level of support to prospective and existing clients for any and all business lines TransPerfect offers, but with a focus on language solutions (translation, localisation, etc. and eLearning). Position responsibilities: Develop an effective understanding of the capability, benefits and competitive advantages of TransPerfect's services Identify prospective customers and individual organizations to focus on sales activities Develop new client relationships via cold calling, internet, and trade shows In coordination with Sales Management, identify, qualify, develop and close sales opportunities Promote and educate clients regarding TransPerfect's services Provide customer support and manage client expectations in liaison with the Production team Manage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company procedures Cross-sell and upsell various services and solutions into various departments within the client´s company with an eye to optimize account profitability Take an active role in learning about each client's industry, business needs and company culture to identify new business opportunities and provide a high level of service Sales administration support such as billings and collections, running reports for management in preparation for Quarterly Business Reviews, etc. Perform any other special tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role as assigned by the manager/supervisor Essential skills and experience required: Minimum Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent Superior written and spoken communication skills in English Ability to build and maintain relationships Motivated with a proactive attitude Results-driven, ability to work independently and take ownership Good analytical skills needed to project revenues, monitor budgets and other necessary calculations Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Interest in Strategic Business Development and/or Client Services/Account Management as a long-term career path Most importantly, the ideal candidate must demonstrate ability to: multitask in a fast-paced environment, work well with people from a variety of different backgrounds and cultures, build strategic relationships with clients and co-workers, work as part of a team, take active measures to solve problems and commit to a high level of service Desired skills and experience: Previous Sales/Business Development/Account Management experience (1 year) Professional experience working with clients within the Life Sciences industry Professional working proficiency in additional foreign languages TransPerfect and its companies provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local law.
