Safety Officer

Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, visitors, and contractors in the plant. Developing and implementing safety policies, conducting safety inspections and audits, investigating accidents and incidents, and providing training to employees on safety procedures and protocols. Job Responsibilities: Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues. Develop recommendations for preventing similar incidents from occurring in the future. Ensure that all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe work environment. Work with other departments, such as production, maintenance, and engineering to identify and address safety concerns. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, injuries, illnesses, and near-miss events. Prepare reports on safety performance metrics, such as lost-time injury rates and incident rates. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Certification in Occupational Health and Safety. At least 3 years of experience in a safety officer or safety role in a manufacturing environment is an advantage. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
