Position Overview- Participate in the propulsion test bench design and be responsible for leading technical audits to ensure that facility safety and compliance with EU Directives.
- Responsible for generating and managing product safety and compliance requirements for in-house developments.
- Assures compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, policies and procedures related to safety conformity.
- Represent Business in relevant internal/external audits and interact with National regulatory agencies.
- In-house training of personnel on conformity compliance and safe handling of working fluids.
TasksThe Safety and Compliance Engineer(s) will support the development of the various components of Test Facilities and work closely with the R&D design engineers to develop systems which meet the global safety compliance requirements in the markets where they are placed.
ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and executing technical Risk Assessment and Fault Tree Analyses.Inspect equipment and system assemblies and identify and quantify safety hazards.Knowledge of EU Directives and International Norms.Basic safety investigation techniques and knowledge of aviation culture.Added-value: knowledge of aviation conformity standards.Monitor compliance to policies and laws.Flexible, self-motivated, team player with the ability to work collaboratively across all elements of the organization.RequirementsM.Sc.
or M.Eng.
in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
A Bachelor's degree would also be acceptable.Experience in Safety management and risk assessment.Preferably relevant working experience in product safety / product regulatory compliance.Experience to judge engineering solutions and their impact on product safety.Working knowledge of CAD software.5+ years of industry experience working on similar projects.Fluent in English and preferably Spanish as a working language.Preferred Skills & ExperienceFormation in safety management or a relevant field.Knowledge of ATEX Standards.Experience in Risk Analysis in Process Engineering (HAZID, HAZOP, etc.
