To deliver service to our growing client base, Pinnacle is seeking outstanding candidates for an Assistant Manager to join our Valencia Team.
Job DescriptionAs an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of private equity funds both providing first review responsibility on a selection of lower risk NAVs and preparation of NAVs for larger and more complex client relationships. As part of the Private Equity Team, you will work with close-ended Funds specializing in private equity, private debt, real estate and venture capital.
As an Assistant Manager in this Team, you will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to Pinnacle's growth. We are seeking strong team players, outgoing individuals who possess a strong work ethic and can take initiative in a growing entrepreneurial company. If you have prior private equity fund administration management experience, a few years of experience in a senior fund accounting role or relevant experience in the fund industry and want to further grow your career in Fund Administration, this role is for you.
ResponsibilitiesAssisting in the management of a portfolio of client relationshipsReviewing net asset valuations performed by fund accountants prior to release to clients and investors, which includes:Reviewing capital activity such as capital calls & distributionsReviewing the general ledgerReviewing cash activity and cash reconciliationsReviewing income and expenses, including management and performance fees and ensuring they are accrued for and are in accordance with relevant accounting standardsReviewing Investor Statements and contract notesReview distribution waterfall calculationPreparation of net asset valuation files for larger and more complex clients for review by ManagementReviewing financial statements and preparing financial statements for larger and more complex clientsManaging year-end audits/tax reporting with clients' and independent auditors and ensuring fieldwork is completed on scheduleCoaching and training of junior staffActively manages staff's time and workload effectively ensuring both internal and external deadlines are metAbility to manage their own time and workload effectively to ensure both internal and external deadlines are metActively manages client requests and ensures staff are responding to queries in a timely and professional mannerAbility to prioritize multiple client requests and determine which require escalating to Senior ManagementCoordinates with all relevant teams internally (e.g. Tax, Investor Services) to ensure processes and workflows are aligned to meet client needsEnsuring all processes and output are consistent with Pinnacle's policies and procedures and that Pinnacle's control environment is maintainedDesired skills and experiencePrior fund accounting experience of at least 2-3 years is requiredIn-depth knowledge of closed ended funds desired but not requiredAccounting designation desired, but not requiredStrong knowledge of accounting conceptsStrong knowledge of Microsoft ExcelSolid interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple demands, competing priorities, and constant changeAbility to allocate time effectively and manage tight deadlinesPrior experience with PFS- Paxus is desired, but not requiredWhy Pinnacle Fund Services?At Pinnacle Fund Services, we're committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that supports their health, well-being, and professional growth.
