RRI and Societal Impact Project Manager
VHIR is seeking a Project Manager with knowledge about the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) framework and Social Impact of Research to join the Strategy Area. This role will involve in part supporting activities related to Citizen Science and RRI as part of the Horizon Europe Widera project, iMM-CARE: BOOSTING CLINICAL RESEARCH FOR THE BENEFIT OF SOCIETY.
VHIR has created a strategic alliance with the Instituto de Medicina Molecular (IMM) João Lobo Antunes, and the selected candidate will monitor and provide guidance on Ethics, Open Science, patient engagement and the Citizen Science project's endeavors towards achieving the best outcomes. The candidate will also be involved in other initiatives of the RRI and Social Impact Office and will collaborate with the Teaching Unit, Clinical Research Area, and other Areas at VHIR as the Communication Unit to facilitate and promote high quality, innovative training programs and outreach activities that align with the institute´s strategic goals.

Required:
Bachelor's DegreeFluency in English (business level)Strong organizational and planning capacities, proactive, results-oriented professional with close attention to detail and with the ability to work under tight deadlines.Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.Experience and knowledge:Required:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or a similar role, with an understanding of competitive funding programs and policies at both national and international levels within the health and research sectorsUnderstanding of the RRI framework, global challenges, and interest in transdisciplinary and societal impact of researchKnowledge of Citizen Science, Patient Involvement, and Science CommunicationKnowledge about research institution management and the learning pathways of researchersExcellent communication and influence skills, with a track record of communicating health research to different audiences.Passionate about responsible research and innovation, citizen science, and knowledge and experienced in the healthcare sector.Familiarity with the WIDERA Horizon Europe environment and an understanding of the objectives of the Teaming for Excellence programKnowledge of EU and National Funding Policies to ensure iMM Care project activities sustainabilityKnowledge of participatory action research methods and citizen science strategiesMain responsibilities and duties:
Assist in managing RRI and Citizen Science activities within the iMM Care project, dedicating about 50% of your time to this project.The other 50% of your time will be focused on promoting RRI internally, providing support to researchers in applying for grants and participating in other institutional projects.Help in designing strategies for the long-term sustainability of project-specific RRI activities.Engage with various stakeholders in the RRI, Citizen Science, and health research domains to help disseminate project outcomes and build cooperative networks.Labour conditions:
Full-time position: 40h/week.Starting date: as soon as possible.Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scaleContract: Open-ended contract linked to project (ending: May 2027)What can we offer?
