We are looking for a Product Owner to join our team and ensure the development of a product that satisfies company and users' needs to the highest standard.
Responsibilities You will be responsible for designing product features, prioritising development focus, estimating and requesting budget, managing product roadmap and backlog, helping the development team understand the roadmap along with features to be implemented and directing the team on arrangement of task breakdown and priority.
In your role as a Product Owner, you will be communicating and coordinating with the COO, POD Leader, Project Manager, Tech Leaders, the Development Team, and stakeholders to ensure that product development and backlog prioritisation is focused on delivering the product in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Your responsibilities will include: Full understanding of the goal SENT aims to achieve and the gaps that must be filled and work towards
Shape product vision into a manageable set of tasks and allocate resources towards its development
Define high-level specifications
Create or inspect detailed functional/technical specifications
Attend standups and be available for questions from Devs
Work closely with the project manager and development team to ensure the correct prioritisation of product backlog
Create product roadmap, Epics, and User Stories
Manage Epic, Story, and task prioritisation
Ensure the development team understands the product backlog and ensure its deliverability
Assess value, develop cases, and prioritise stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
Manage Stakeholder communication and expectations by directly interacting with stakeholders to understand their needs and requests
Represent the team to stakeholders
Represent Business and Stakeholders to the development team
Make decisions on when to release a product or a feature
Accept/Reject Development team's work
Product Marketing tasks: Create Content/documentation for web and other media
Engage with our target audience to identify main bottlenecks and solutions
Be a platform evangelist
Requirements: A proven track record with 3+ years experience in the role of Product Owner
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Project management / Product owner certification
Background in development preferable
Experience with Blockchain is highly desirable
Good working knowledge / experience with Atlassian Jira/Confluence, GitLab or other issue management
Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
Experience with Agile methodologies, understanding Agile values and principles; knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
Good working knowledge or experience at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, and retrospection
Skills required for planning and problem solving with product management and delivery teams
Experience with working in a fast-paced, complex, distributed environment, preferably a startup or scale-up organisation
