SummaryIn this role you will be responsible for setting the regional logistics strategy and end-to-end accountability for logistics operations for Novartis Radio Ligand Therapy (RLT) products from manufacturing sites to treatment sites in the EMEA region. Operations may include ensuring a lean and efficient process from exportation from the country of origin, importation at the country of destination, to domestic flights and/or final mile deliveries promptly while ensuring compliance with applicable local regulations related to the movement of radioactive drugs.
This role will manage logistics 3PLs to provide high-level service and act as an escalation point for the EMEA region's operational issues and customer complaints. Project management and process improvement will be required as well.
About the RoleMajor accountabilities: End-to-end manage the whole logistic process (Importation, Transportation, and Disposal) of RLT products and accountable for the on-time performance and customer satisfaction in the EMEA region.Develop relationships with leadership contacts at carrier organizations to retain and grow their logistics services while maintaining a customer-centric approach.Work closely with manufacturing sites and logistics partners to map out the lanes for each treatment site including clear cutoff times for contingency plans.Maintain close collaboration with the global RLT control tower and applicable manufacturing sites to develop processes for the timely monitoring of RLT products.Develop processes and manage projects in a cross-functional manner related to the improvement of logistics operations.Proactively manage customs and trade compliance risks to ensure a smooth importation process for each shipment and avoid unnecessary violations with relevant government authority, maintain a sound relationship with local authority.Monitor and capture related regulatory updates, verify positive/negative impact on Novartis business, report management if impact is significant, and come up with proposal if needed.Monitor logistic-related costs' accuracy every month and ensure decisions are made in a cost-conscious manner.Implement regular audits on transportation companies, provide training and support to both Novartis staff and third-party employees, and ensure all Novartis RLT products are transported in compliance with local regulations.Minimum Requirements: Education: Higher education (Degree) in Nuclear Medicine, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, etc; or have a professional technical title of junior or above in Pharmacy.Minimum 5 years' experience in role with experience in operational logistic management role with radioactive drugs or similar time critical operations.Knowledge of the local Customs & Environmental Protection Bureau and Health authority requirement to the radioactive drugs importation and supervision.Languages: English fluent written and spoken. Good knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese will be valued.Desirable requirements: Experience in Health Care - Radiopharmaceuticals, Consumer Goods, Chemical or other process industry.Why Novartis?
