Job PurposeProvide best in class sourcing expertise within the EMEA Transportation cluster within Corporate Procurement to all DPDHL Business Units, in particular within our LLP function, aligning sourcing strategies and liaising with customers. Reporting in to the Regional Sourcing Manager for South & West Europe, with dotted line reporting into the wider LLP Business, this is an interface role for specific sourcing activities. Your role will involve managing sourcing processes for our individual customers with an average spend of €10M per tender. Category spend volume: in excess of €800M.
Your main tasks will be:Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research/intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of global or regional frame contracts.Identify and secure sourcing opportunities and assist in the development of supplier relationships.Integrate Procurement into business planning and thinking via effective influencing skills.Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfillment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service.Project Management of new assignments.Manage initial sourcing engagement and identify customer specific challenges.Project monitoring & management.Support development of TP sourcing as a dedicated and sustainable product within GBS procurement.Share best practices within GBS procurement.Support Regional Sourcing Managers with business pitching to targeted customers.Ensure required compliance regulations are adhered to, including respective governance and risk management implications.Provide guidance and support on issues and problems where needed from less experienced/new members of the wider Transportation procurement team.Be an interactive and participative team member within the South & West Europe + wider EMEA Transport Procurement community.Develop strong, trusting relationships with business colleagues and external customers for assigned projects.Cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providers.Active participation in collaborative negotiations with Business counterparts.Your profile should look like:More than 3 years within a similar sourcing role.Procurement specific qualification e.g. CIPS or Category specific qualification e.g. Supply Chain related desirable, but not essential.Fluent in English (Written/Verbal).Experience and understanding of Transportation business (Road, Air and Ocean) within and outside of DPDHL. All modes desirable but not essential.Procurement background with specialization in Transportation and Logistics services.Ability to manage a complex project under time pressure.Passionate to work in very agile environments and ability to adjust to changing requirements.High degree of customer orientation.Advanced analytical skills, negotiation experience desirable.Passionately driving own ideas and convincing people of the value of the procurement offering.Ability to work both independently and within a team.Understanding of working in a 4PL/LLP environment desirable but not essential.We offer:Outstanding opportunity, responsibility as well as a fantastic working environment.Competitive salary and world class benefits.
