Are you ready for your next ride?As Traffic Manager (M/F/d) for FREENOW's Creative Hub you will report into the VP Brand and Communication, and directly support FREENOW's team of 12 Designers, 3 Copywriters and 1 Localisation Manager; and an extensive team of external designers, creative agencies, copywriters and translators.This is an exciting new role being created to help us achieve our vision of establishing an in-house Creative Agency where you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the team, freeing the creatives up to be creative whilst you own & manage workflows through the team. As a newly created role, you will be expected to jump in head first and establish the processes for the various work streams. You'll be expected to critically assess the processes and tools used today and bring recommendations for improvements. You will work directly with the Designers and Copywriters to understand what's working and what's not working today and implement immediate changes where they are needed. You will also be expected to constantly review and optimise processes once in the role. The opportunity for autonomy and impact are great from day one.In this role, you will be the main interface between the creative teams and those who write briefs to the creative teams - namely Brand, Digital, Local Marketing, PR, B2B, and Employer Brand teams.You will be expected to check briefing documents and act as the gatekeeper to ensure that only complete, accurate, and high-quality briefs are delivered to the Creative Hub. As such you will need to fully understand the creative processes and capabilities within the team and also be comfortable in communicating to teams where their briefs are inadequate or incomplete. You should have an eye for detail and be a strong people-person to really thrive in this role.The Traffic Manager needs to be an operational whizz, with a brilliant ability to schedule tasks, constantly re-evaluate priorities, and ensure that the capacity of the Creative Hub is maximised. You need to be able to understand conflicting priorities and be comfortable in escalating challenges to the VP Brand & Communications. You also need to enable great communication between teams by establishing meetings, slack channels, and other communication channels to ensure all stakeholders are informed of project progress. Whilst you will not get involved in giving design input or creative feedback, you will need to support in establishing constructive feedback loops which maintain good relationships.This role is perfect for someone who has worked in-house at another brand/business or within a creative agency, and who is looking to transfer their skills and experience to FREENOW. This challenge requires a can-do attitude and a level head - if that's you.YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:Critically assess existing creative workflow processes.Establish new processes and embed them into the FREENOW organisation.Be the lynchpin of the Creative Hub with complete oversight of all ongoing projects.Be the gatekeeper of all briefs coming into the Creative Hub, working closely with those writing the briefs to ensure their content is complete, accurate and high quality.Approve briefs coming into the Creative Hub and work with the Design/Copy Leads and Localisation manager to schedule tasks to be done (escalate where necessary to the VP Brand of Communication).Manage workflows and resources to enable flexibility where urgent topics arise at the last minute - whilst attempting to keep urgent topics to an absolute minimum.Develop strong relationships with in-house creative teams and external vendors (freelancers and agencies who are considered as an extension of our team).Communicate closely with the Creative Teams to track progress of work and manage expectations of those writing the briefs.Manage the Creative Hub's budget ensuring good fiscal year planning, no overspends, accurate tracking & reporting, and timely payment of vendor invoices.Lead the weekly Creative Hub priority meetings including writing summaries for the team.Lead quarterly process reviews (separate to quarterly design reviews) to ensure processes are working effectively, and to pinpoint issues to be fixed - these issues could be process related (e.g. JIRA ticket briefing template improvements) or people related (e.g. a particular team who regularly changes brief at the last minute).
