The role is responsible for the oversight of the Risk Profile of PagoNXT Payments rapidly growing payments processing business on a mission to transform legacy payments in banks with a SaaS service based on a resilient and scalable cloud-based platform.
As a member of the R&C team in 2LoD, the main responsibility of the role is to support the performance and evolution of the existing risk toolsets (e.g., RCSAs, Incident Management, Change Management), developing simple and innovative ways of working that are appropriate for a Technology business, in line with the strategic direction given by the Chief Risk Officer.
The individual will also be required to take the responsibility for day-to-day coordination and reporting on the status of a "Control Maturity Programme" to mature the overall control model for the business, including the certification of relevant controls for ISO27001 and ISO22301.

The line manager of the role is the Chief Risk Officer, PagoNXT Payments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Taking ownership of day-to-day coordination of the Control Maturity Programme PMO, reporting the status from Control SMEs across the business.
Working closely with the Chief Risk Officer to develop and maintain the risk framework, methodologies, risk tools, education and training etc. to enhance the business' ability to Identify, Assess, Manage and Report Risks and Controls, in particular through the coordination and review of the annual RCSA campaign.
Reviewing, challenging, and helping the business articulate the risks and controls profile across all non-financial risk types, identifying and escalating gaps in risk management and putting in place appropriate mitigating actions.
Support the production of presentations and reporting related to Risk & Compliance activities.
Proactively build specific knowledge in the payments technology space, in particular on regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., UK Operational Resilience, EU DORA, PSD II )
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Experience :
Minimum 5 years of experience in Risk management, Risk governance and control roles within the Financial Services sector, knowledge of payments space particularly desirable.
Proven experience working with or within PMOs for the delivery of complex programmes / projects.
Education :Degree level education, with relevant academic qualifications desirable. Recognised risk professional qualifications / certifications are beneficial but not a must.
Essential Capabilities :
Motivated to learn all about payments!
Structured thinker and well organised, capable of supporting/working in a PMO function.
Good knowledge and practical experience of Risk and Control Frameworks
Strong communicator and presenter with high attention to detail
Strong people skills, experienced in managing stakeholders across the full spectrum of seniority.
Ability to pick up high volume of new complex/technical information and concepts.
Ability to work independently and proactively, taking responsibility for the successful delivery of key Risk & Compliance function objectives, effectively prioritising, delegating and escalating as appropriate.
Practical experience of certification processes, especially ISO 27001 and ISO 22301
Working knowledge of payments services, associated technology, risk & compliance topics, and latest industry developments.
Strong knowledge of applicable external regulations such as PSD II, OCIR, Operational Resilience, DORA, GDPR, EBA Outsourcing, and other relevant supervisory statements
