This role reports to and interacts regularly with stakeholders in the US. Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish.The Revenue Accounting Specialist will play an important role to ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, revenue recognition accounting and policy across all Worldwide (WW) Ingram Micro businesses helping to drive growth as well as ensure alignment in financial reporting. This position requires a dynamic individual with the ability to partner with the commercial organization and ensure the multi-year and other customer agreements are accounted for properly in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS. The Revenue Accounting Specialist will regularly review revenue transactions, sales contracts and business practices and play an integral role in the monthly close process and provide insights to the Corporate Controllership and business.Areas of Responsibility:Assist the Revenue Accounting Director to ensure compliance with FASB/IASB revenue recognition standards, internal controls and that business is conducted in accordance with Ingram Micro policies and procedures.Partner with the Commercial team to review multi-year and other customer contracts to identify accounting issues and to monitor compliance with the Company's revenue recognition policies.Evaluate and document the accounting treatment for non-standard revenue transactions.Partner with the local Finance and business in driving and streamlining process improvements within revenue recognition close process. Continuously evaluate and improve revenue accounting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.Provide training and education to the local finance and business teams on revenue recognition related topics on a regular basis.Support the Director, Revenue Accounting and work with the local Finance and business teams to establish revenue recognition process for the countries and provide ongoing guidance.Requirements:Minimum of 5+ years of progressive financial and accounting experience.Experience in accounting system/process transformations and SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems, and working with US GAAP or IFRS.Experience driving process improvement and other project management experience.Advanced Excel and other MS Office suite skills.Highly organized, exhibit high levels of attention to detail.Worked in global companies with co-workers in multiple time zones (EMEA, APAC, etc.).Ability to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.Friendly demeanor, ability to get along with people and work in teams.Specialist in technical or business skills. Individuals with a customer focus have developed the acumen to cultivate and develop lasting customer relations. Four year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 5 years functional experience including a minimum of 3 years specific experience.
