We are entering a new chapter by adding amenities and mainly unmanned shops to our stations, and we are looking for Fastned's first ever Retail Area Manager for West Germany. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of overseeing the performance and quality of our expanding unmanned retail network across West Germanty, where many locations are still under development. Initially, you'll focus on building partnerships to enhance our sites with complimentary amenities. Next to sourcing these partnerships you will also help bring to life our retail units, that will contain restroom facilities, vending and coffee machines. It is your job to find suitable suppliers and partners for all of these. As our network grows, you'll be responsible for managing a given area, ensuring your locations consistently uphold Fastned's brand standards, deliver exceptional customer service, and operate efficiently.
You will have the opportunity to shape the structure and processes in a dynamic environment. Picture yourself ensuring that our unmanned shop facilities meet the highest standards, driving commercial growth, serving as the local point of contact for operational partners, and continuously improving our restroom experience. Your goal will be to make sure our retail locations are clean, safe, efficient, and commercially successful.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and optimize the performance of approximately 30 retail locations within West Germany, ensuring they meet Fastned's brand standards, service quality, and operational efficiency.
Act as the "owner" of your region and all retail shop buildings in the assigned area, responsible for their overall performance, quality and maintenance.
Build the bridge between the central retail team at the head office and the local team in Germany. Your eyes on site, local knowledge and understanding of the market helps us improve the overall business activities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for operational partners or external parties, ensuring effective communication and strong partnerships.
Drive commercial growth by identifying opportunities, optimizing financial performance, and making sure our restroom experience and coffee offer is top notch.
Analyze local market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning and identify growth opportunities.
Ensure all locations comply with Fastned's company policies, brand guidelines, and local regulatory requirements.
Directly enhance customer service delivery, addressing customer needs to ensure satisfaction and loyalty at the store level.
Who We Are Looking ForFluent in German and English.
At least 2 years of experience in retail management or a similar role, ideally with multi-location or regional oversight, demonstrating strong support for store performance and commercial success.
Nice to have: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
Commercial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships.
Knowledge of the region West Germany and its retail market trends is an advantage.
Open to regular travel as part of the role.
