This role involves managing linguist resources, monitoring key performance metrics, and driving process innovations to optimize subtitling workflows.
Responsibilities Resource Management : Recruit and manage resources required for subtitling projects, including linguists, translators, and subtitling software.
Performance Monitoring : Track and analyze performance metrics of linguist teams, identifying areas for improvement, work closely with PM team to set priority for recruitment and resource training.
Innovation & Workflow Optimization : Develop and implement new ideas and tools that enhance the efficiency of resource management workflows, with a focus on automation, productivity improvements, and quality control.
Vendor and Stakeholder Communication : Collaborate with linguists, project managers, and vendors to address workflow bottlenecks and ensure a smooth and efficient process.
Quality Assurance : Work closely with the quality control team to identify quality issues, provide feedback to linguists, and ensure continuous improvement in subtitling quality.
Training & Onboarding : Develop training materials and onboarding processes to help linguists adapt to evolving workflows, ensuring consistent high-quality results.
Data-Driven Decision Making : Use performance data and project insights to recommend resource allocation and process adjustments that improve overall efficiency.
Requirements Education : Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Media Studies, or related field.
Experience : 3+ years in resource management, linguistics, or subtitling localization; experience working withglobal subtitling teams or language service providers.
Skills : Proficiency in subtitling tools, CAT tools, Excel, PowerPoint & Google Drive; excellent project management skills and experience with performance tracking systems; ability to develop innovative ideas to streamline processes and improve efficiency; strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with global teams.
Technology : Familiarity with AI-driven subtitling tools, automation software, and data analytics platforms is a plus.
