You will be working with a small, intense, and competent team on cars, robots, and intelligent batteries. As the Resident Engineer at Ample, you will spend a significant percentage of your time on-site at OEM facilities overseeing integration activities of the Ample battery pack into the OEM vehicles and acting as the conduit for facilitating interactions between the Ample engineering team and OEM partners. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting related to the integration of the Ample Battery system into OEM vehicles. Work closely with the Technical Program Manager, and serve as the technical liaison between the OEM and the engineering, quality, and production teams at Ample. Address client queries and concerns promptly and effectively. Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to Ample off-site team and OEM. Conduct post-installation reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Coordinate with project teams and OEMs to ensure smooth vehicle integration. REQUIREMENTS: BS or higher in Software Engineering or a related field preferred Proven experience in engineering roles within the automotive industry. Strong understanding of software engineering tools including Linux and Vector, and ability to script using these tools. On-site resident engineering experience at an Automotive OEM; must be willing to workat OEM facilities for an extended period. HV battery systems experience is a plus Detail-oriented and results-driven personality that is motivated by solving complex problems Excellent written and verbal skills, able to concisely communicate across the organization Background in software and electrical engineering with hands-on experience in automotive projects
