Offer Description CREAF is looking to incorporate a researcher into the SOIL PROTECTION AND RESTORATION group to develop and lead the work line on soil restoration and circular economy. This position aims to improve knowledge and experiences on the restoration and monitoring of degraded areas, with a special emphasis on soils, including the use of waste and organic and mineral products in rehabilitation tasks. A full-time contract (37.5 hours/week) is offered, with immediate incorporation. It will be a scientific-technical contract in the research group modality ("scientific-technical activities," according to Law 14/2011). The offered salary is €44,981.32 gross per year.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:
Define and develop collaboration programs with national and international public administrations (Europe and the Mediterranean).
Define and develop specific European projects related to soil restoration and conservation, including writing proposals and leading project implementation.
Actively lead the search for funding by drafting national and European proposals.
Proven experience of more than 15 years in soil science, soil restoration, and circular economy.
Proven experience in project coordination and leadership of work packages in national and European projects, and in coordinating technical teams.
Proven experience of more than 15 years in the preparation of technical and outreach publications and participation in transfer and/or outreach activities.
Experience in preparing deliverables, coordination tasks, and project justification.
Advanced level of English, Spanish, and Catalan, both oral and written.
Valid B driving license for more than 2 years.
Ability to travel frequently abroad and to do fieldwork.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in the field of restoration of extractive activities.
Experience in the field of slope stabilization.
Experience in the use of remote sensors for monitoring soil degradation and restoration processes.
Experience in the interpretation and analysis of data on soils and waste/organic products.
Active participation in working groups on soil restoration.
Interest in working on applied research and transfer projects.
Autonomy, flexibility, responsibility, and ability to work in a team.
Communication skills and relationship with internal and external staff.
Priority will be given to candidates with a recognized and accredited disability equal to or greater than 33%, provided that the disability is compatible with the proper performance of the position.
