Vilafranca Site RESEARCHER II About the job We are looking for a Senior Researcher experienced in the formulation, manufacture, application and testing of Food Metal Packaging coatings, to join our team in Vilafranca del Penedès.
Plan and organize work on a daily and weekly basis with oversight from senior team members.
Formulate, prepare, apply and test the mechanical and chemical properties of coatings using established test methods and procedures to complete Laboratory Work Requests (LWRs) within agreed timescales.
Carry out programs of work in support of new product development projects following the StageGate process within agreed timescales.
Use design of experiments methodology where appropriate.
Record all results in an accurate and clear manner.
Contribute to AkzoNobel's commitment to HSE excellence Share results with other internal teams and regional R&D teams via team meetings, project reviews etc About you 5-10 years of relevant experience in Laboratory roles.
Master's or PHD level education.
High level of English and Spanish.
Other languages are a plus.
Experience in industrial companies or Coatings/paint industries.
Experience in UV Technology would be valued.
Knowledge of polymer chemistry , principles and practice is highly valued.
Experience in the use of statistical experimental design is highly valued.
