.Eurecat is the main Research & Technology Organisation in Catalonia and the second largest private research organization in southern Europe. It brings together the experience of more than 700 professionals and provides services to more than 2,000 companies. Applied R&D, technological services, highly specialized training, technological consultancy or valorisation and exploitation of industrial property are some of the services that Eurecat offers for both large and small and medium-sized enterprises in all sectors. The technology centre participates in more than 200 large national and international consortium projects of high strategic R&I and has 181 patents and 10 spin-offs. The added value provided by Eurecat accelerates innovation, reduces spending on scientific and technological infrastructures, reduces risks and provides specialized knowledge tailored to each company. The Functional Printing & Embedded Devices Unit develops innovative solutions based on functional materials and devices. This Unit has the knowledge and experience to contribute from research concepts to prototyping and manufacturing. The Unit can cover the entire TRL chain, from the conceptualization of the idea to prototype validation, including design, proof of concept, material analysis, processes, prototyping, and characterization. The specialization areas of the Unit include the formulation of functional inks, printing and coating processes for lightweight and flexible devices, their characterization, and in terms of electronics, the design, development, and manufacturing of conventional PCB electronics and hybrid electronics. The candidate will carry out tasks within multidisciplinary team projects in the field of fuel cell and electrolyzer development for sustainable energy technologies, based on raw material devices and printing techniques. In particular, the tasks include: Analysis of state-of-the-art, Material processing for membranes and catalysts, Physicochemical characterization of materials and surfaces (electrical, optical, morphological characterization techniques, among others), Assembly and simulation/characterization of electrochemical cells and/or fuel cells; Calculation, design, programming, and/or assembly of gas control systems; Analysis and presentation of results and preparation of technical reports. Will join a dynamic and multicultural work environment, with a vision of generating value for clients and with agile and innovative project management methodologies. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree (BSc), Master's or PhD in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar disciplines. Experience: Essential experience of at least one subject in electrochemistry or similar. Previous knowledge of hydrogen production and conversion systems as sustainable energy will be valued
